    Nigel René Borger was born in upstate New York on the coldest day in September. His mother, Betty, felt inconvenienced by the whole event. She held her only son a total of ninety-three seconds before handing him back to the nurse. As it turned out, that was the longest his mother ever held him in his entire life. 

    As the youngest child of six, all his sibling’s girls, Nigel’s life was different. With a wardrobe of his sister’s hand-me-down clothing, his public school life was a gauntlet of constant teasing. However, Nigel had one refuge; he loved to learn, and he immersed himself.

    Nigel was a genius, and without the normal distractions of growing up, his life raced from one achievement to another. But the most glorious thing to happen in Nigel’s life was when he found his true self and became Blare.

Fredrick Cameron Stayton was born the fifth child of eight in a military family, all his siblings brothers. His parents were wonderful role models and all his siblings perfect representations of sons, but Fredrick was different.

His mother, Daisy, fretted over her fifth son’s differences, as he shunned the rough play of his brothers, choosing rather to play with dolls. But Fredrick’s father, Tom, was not concerned. “He’s young, it’s just a phase, he’ll out grow it.” But he didn’t.

Daisy was overworked with the care of eight children, and she needed help. But she never expected that help to come in the form of her fifth son. When she caught him cross-dressing she decided to choose him as that help. She called him Cameron and his life became wonderful.

With no social life, shunned by his peers, male and female alike, Frederick was isolated and alone. To fill his time he concentrated on his studies and excelled. He graduating high school in 3 years, and had his doctorate by the time he was twenty-one years old.

Offered a teaching job at a college, he jumped at the position, knowing it would fit well with his introverted personality. So, during the day he was Frederick, college teacher, but at night he became his true self, Cameron.

Cameron was stuck. Afraid to transition, but unhappy in his life, he lived an isolated and lonely existence, until he met Amelia.

Amelia showed Cameron the other side of the coin, the world of the Galas, and nothing can stop her now.
